8/19/2012 - Wanted Suspect in Felony Case

WANTED SUSPECT

 

The Columbus Police Department is currently looking for Reginald Ladell Scott who is wanted for a First Degree Felony of Burglary of a Habitation with intent to commit a Felony. Scott is a 28 year old African American Male, 6’00 tall, approximately 170-180 lbs, with black hair, brown eyes and a muscular build. Scott usually has his hair braided in “Corn rows”. Anyone with information about Reginald Scott’s immediate whereabouts is urged to contact Crime Stoppers or the Columbus Police Department

7/7/2012 - Burglaries (Multiple)

The Columbus Police Department is investigating 3 burglaries that occurred at two locations. Between 7-7-12 and 7-8-12, St. Paul Lutheran Church on Veterans Drive was broken into and again between 7-20-12 and 7-23-12. A total of $623 in cash was taken and a credit card along with a box of granola bars and an Ambercrombie &Fitch tote bag. Between 07-19-12 and 7-20-12 the Columbus Memorial Swimming Pool on Legion Drive was broken into and approximately $135 in cash was stolen. Anyone with information on these crimes is urged to contact Colorado County Crime Stoppers or the Columbus Police Department. A reward of up to $1000 is offered for information leading to the arrest of the person(s) responsible.

1/24/2012 - Construction Site burglary
THE EAGLE LAKE POLICE DEPARTMENT IS INVESTIGATING A BURGLARY THAT OCCURRED  BETWEEN MONDAY THE 16TH OF JANUARY AT APPROX. 5:00 PM AND WEDNESDAY THE 18TH OF JANUARY AT APPROX. 5:30 PM A BUILDING UNDER CONSTRUCTION IN THE 100 BLOCK OF E. MAIN ST. WAS BURGLARIZED.  A 26 GALLON UPRIGHT AIR-COMPRESSOR WITH TWO WHEELS WAS STOLEN.

1/21/2012 - Church burglary

. THE EAGLE LAKE POLICE DEPARTMENT IS INVESTIGATING A BURGLARY THAT OCCURRED BETWEEN MONDAY THE 16TH OF JANUARY AT APPROX. 9:30 PM AND TUESDAY THE 17TH OF JANUARY AT APPROX. 4:30 PM AT THE MOUNT SINAI CHURCH LOCATED IN THE 500 BLOCK OF E. PRAIRIE ST. NO FORCED ENTRY WAS FOUND.  A ROLAND PHANTOM KEYBOARD WITH A FLOPPY DISC SLOT WAS STOLEN.  ALSO STOLEN WAS A 400 WATT PEAVEY PUBLIC ADDRESS SYSTEM.

1/13/2012 - Home Invasion

On 01-10-2012 at approximately 1:01 am, Colorado County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a reported home invasion on Buescher Road north of Columbus . On arrival, Deputies met with two victims who had called from a neighbor’s house and reported that two masked individuals had forced entry into their home and had taken an assortment of jewelry, silverware, and other property. The victims reported that the suspects had bound one of them in the process. The suspects were dressed in all black from head to toe and were reportedly wearing gloves. The victims were not harmed, but extensive preparations were taken by the suspects to ensure that they had enough time and the ability to make a clean getaway from the residence before the authorities could be notified. The suspects are believed to be white males, one being approximately 6-00 tall with a thin build, while the other being shorter, approximately 5-05 to 5-08 with a stockier build. Sheriff’s Investigators are currently working on the case at this time.

12/11/2011 - Multiple burglaries of home, vehicles, etc

The Columbus Police Department is investigating 27 burglaries of homes, vehicles, and businesses that occurred between Sept. 1 and Dec. 11, 2011.

Most vehicle burglaries occurred when the suspect(s) entered unlocked vehicles and stole the contents. Most Home Burglaries occurred by forced entry when the homeowner was not home. The items that were stolen range from cash money, to guns, to electronic equipment and jewelry. Anyone having information is urged to contact Crimes Stoppers or the Columbus Police Department.

7/30/2011 - Theft from Keyser`s Market

CRIME THEFT

 

REWARD OF UP TO $1000 OFFERED

 

On Saturday, 07-30-11 at or about 9:30 AM, a white female entered the Keyser’s Market on Milam St in Columbus , Texas pretending to be in association with the Klump Cancer Benefit and received 200 meat patties valued at $167. The white female is described as being in her early to mid 60’s, approximately 5’4” tall with grey and wearing glasses. The white female was driving a green Ford Econoline full size van and had a black male passenger with her. The black male is described as being bald, approximately 60-70 years old. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers or the Columbus Police Department.

1/29/2011 - Burglary at Columbus KC Hall

REWARD OF $1000.00 OFFERED

    On Saturday January 29, 2011 at about 8:30 pm, Deputy Wayne Kubala responded to the Columbus KC Hall in reference to a Burglary of a Vehicle. The Burglary occurred between 5 pm and 8:30 pm in the parking lot. The KC Hall was hosting a Woodman of the World stew supper at the time. The investigation revealed that suspect(s) broke out the back window on a Dodge double cab pickup and entered the vehicle through a small opening. The suspect(s) then removed numerous items from inside the vehicle to include a Glock semi-automatic pistol, a Columbus Volunteer Fire Department traditional firefighter helmet and Motorola portable radio, a small emergency light bar strip, and a Delphi satellite radio.
